The vacuum pump comprises a main body made of alloy steel and a coating coatedon the surface of the main body, wherein the coating is prepared from the following components in parts by weight: 75-80 parts of zircon powder, 5-10 parts of bentonite, 5-10 parts of resin, 2-5 partsof dispersants, 2-5 parts of defoaming agents and 2-5 parts of alcohol. The vacuum pump is made of the steel with reasonable compatibility; CeO2 is added into the steel, so that the strength of the steel can be improved, and then the strength of the vacuum pump can be improved; meanwhile, desulfurizing agents and desulphurizing slag modifiers are added in the production process of the vacuum pump, and the special coating is coated on the surface of the vacuum pump, so that the produced vacuum pump is high in strength and has abrasion resistance.
