The invention provides a circuit board connector performance evaluation method. The method comprises a step of preparing test samples and observing and recording the appearances of the test samples, astep of measuring initial insulation resistance of the test samples, a step of measuring initial contact resistance of the test samples, a step of dividing the test samples into four groups, whereineach group comprises at least two test samples, current does not pass one group of test samples, constant currents I1, I2 and I3 pass the other three groups of test samples, I1 is smaller than I2 which is smaller than I3, and the current I2 is rated current of a connector, a step of placing the four groups of test samples into a salt mist box to carry out a salt mist cyclic test, a step of disconnecting current after the salt mist cyclic test, taking the four groups of samples out, and observing and recording the appearances of the test samples after the test, a step of drying the samples, a step of measuring the insulation resistance of the test samples after the test, a step of measuring the contact resistance of the test samples after the test, and a step of evaluating the performance of the circuit board connector under different working conditions. According to the method, a difference between charged corrosion and conventional corrosion of the circuit board connector can be reflected, and people can be guided to take appropriate protective measures.
