The invention discloses a GPRS signal detection method and system. The system comprises a lower computer sub system for collecting GPRS signals and an upper computer sub system for sending AT commands to the lower computer sub system. The lower computer sub system comprises a GPRS modulation-demodulation module, an SIM card and an antenna module. The SIM card and the antenna module are connected with the GPRS modulation-demodulation module. The SIM card is used for carrying out GPRS communication identification, carrying out modulation and demodulation on GPRS communication signals and sending the GPRS communication signals after modulation and demodulation to upper computer sub system for signal quality detection. According to the method and system, detection operation is simple, devices are convenient to carry, and cost is low.
